Abstract

Zirconium oxide gel was deposited on titanium from zirconyl nitrate and zirconyl chloride baths. These coating are then annealed to produce zirconium oxide coatings. The effect of metal concentration, pH and current density on the mass of the deposit produced was determined. The crystal orientation and morphology of the deposits were evaluated. The behaviour of the above two baths are compared.
