Abstract

Polycrystalline Cd0.3Sn0.7Se thin films were prepared in four different thicknesses on glass substrates by vacuum evaporation technique at room temperature and subsequently annealed in air at 300 ◦C for 2 h. They possess a single crystalline phase. The structural, electrical, optical and photoelectrical properties of these films were studied. The lattice parameters of the synthesized compound and the optical band gaps of thin films were estimated and the results are discussed in detail.
