Electrolytic parameters were optimised to get 12% to 21 % iron content in the codeposition of zinc-iron alloy from a sulphate chloride mixed electrolyte. The alloy deposits were better in corrosion resistance compared with pure zinc coatings. Microscqpic studies and hardness data are also reported
