Abstract

A comparative study of natural and electrolytic manganese dioxide used in rechargeable alkaline cells is presented. The effect of physical parameters on the addition of graphite to improve the conductivity of MnO3 and the performance of cells fabricated with such MnO3 samples are discussed.
