Abstract
Ni-Mn alloys were electrodeposited on mild steel substrates from sulphate baths. Their corrosion behavior was evaluated in 3 percent NaCl with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The observed corrosion properties were found to be dependent on microstructure seen under an optical colour polarization microscope. The corrosion resistance was maximum in the samples displaying a near homogenous texture. Multi-textured deposits suffered severe corrosion
