Abstract

This battery charger which can charge a lead acid battery in constant current charging mode after its deep discharge and can switch over automatically to constant voltage charging mode when battery terminal voltage reaches its gassing potential region, yields smooth and quick charging of the battery. In this paper hardware description of the battery charger developed at EEl division, CECRJ, along with experimental results and conclusions are discus ed.
