Abstract

The present work aims to examine iron sulfide for its interfacial properties in aqueous media containing different ionic/complexing agents. The primary experimental investigation is the potentiometric response of the commercial iron sulfide stick in various aqueous media supplemented by cyclic voltammetry and UV-visible and IR spectroscopy. The significance of employing the commercial iron sulfide stick is that it is quite stable under ordinary conditions and possesses appreciable conductivity for employing it as an electrode.
